Hey, I’m James Jackson—a piano and guitar teacher originally from Queens, New York, now based in France. I grew up surrounded by the pulse of the city, where jazz, hip-hop, classical, and rock were always within earshot. That mix of sounds shaped the way I approach music and how I teach it today.

I work with students of all ages and levels, helping them build real skills while staying connected to what makes music exciting. Whether we’re digging into the structure of a Bach piece, learning a pop tune by ear, or improvising over a jazz progression, I keep lessons focused, creative, and tailored to you. I’m all about combining strong fundamentals with freedom of expression—because music should feel good and sound great.

Moving to France was part of chasing that dream of living through music full-time. I now teach students locally and internationally, and nothing makes me happier than watching someone light up when something clicks. Music is personal, and I’m here to help you find your voice—on the keys or the fretboard.
